What is it good for?
The site is a flash file listing service that uses a system of assigning each flash file an ID number and then adding the new version to its listings. The ID numbers are updated every 5 minutes or so and each time a new flash file is added it will get its own unique ID number. The only flaw in this system is that if you have a connection issue or if the board has been moving quickly, swfchan might miss some files before they are deleted. This isn’t a problem in most cases but it does make some ID numbers go unused. This is why the newest ID number isn’t always equal to the number of items on the site.
There’s not much to this site and I’m really not sure why it exists.
What is it bad for?
SWF files are a type of file format that can contain video or vector-based animations. They are designed for easy transfer of these types of images across the Internet. However, the files that are available on swfchan.net are actually porn GIFs that have been converted to SWFs, in some cases even longer than some of the fancier GIFs on other sites. This means that they are not really worth the effort of converting them into a more useful file format and swfchan should be ashamed of themselves for offering these files for viewing!
Each flash file on swfchan is assigned an ID number and this is used to find it in the listings. This number will not necessarily match the newest ID number of that same file because some ID numbers aren’t ever used for adding.
